About the Course

Come and join me in the studio and learn how to arrange some beautiful locally grown flowers.  Lets celebrate gorgeous, seasonal flowers and embrace the diversity of flowers grown on a local farm.

Whether you are experienced  or a total beginner you will love learning how to create two very special designs using an array of summer flowers grown on the Gower peninsula. Sustainable and environmentally freindly floristry reduced carbon footprint, avoids the use of single-use plastics and means everything is suitable for the compost bin, saving our landfills from more rubbish.

You could be a florists wanting to update your skills or a lover of flowers, wanting to learn to arrange flowers for your own pleasure.  The skills learnt during the workshop will help you understand how flowers work together and how to care for them to help them last as long as possible.

One of my favourite parts of arranging locally grown flowers is that you don't know what you will get until the flowers arrive.  Each delivery is different as the grower will provide me with the best available flowers for the day.  So exciting!

Everything is supplied for the workshop, all your flowers, containers and mechanics.  I will provide aprons and scissors but if you want to bring your own tool boxes then you can.

Each practical design comes with full step by step guidance, you can ask as many questions as you like, take photos and experiment with the techniques I'll show yo

Lunch isn't provided but there is plenty of tea and coffee.  You can bring your own lunch, pop next door to the Hideaway Cafe or visit the local town.

All designs will be sustainable, using locally grown flowers and no single use plastic

During the morning we'll look at creating:

Table settings:  this design uses a reuseable container and wire mesh to create a long and low table arrangement, ideal for the centre of a wedding table, buffet setting or speakers podium

For the afternoon session we'll look at creating:

Traditonal Urn:  this design is much larger and used wire netting to create a magnificient arrangement that would sit beautifully in a church or as a wedding ceremony backdrop.

All of the designs are your to take home with you at the end of the day.
